Welcome to SiddMovies
Every film begins as a conversation — with a memory, a place, a piece of history that refuses to stay quiet. This site is where I want to keep those conversations going, in public.
SiddMovies has two halves. One is making: the screenplays I write and the films I take from page to screen, shared here as they move through development, production and festivals. The other is talking: notes on the movies I watch, the craft behind them, and what Indian cinema can learn from the world — and teach it.
What you'll find here
Behind-the-scenes updates on A Tribe of Innocence, a short film set during the Quit India movement. Thoughts on screenwriting — structure, research, and writing history without flattening it. And the occasional review of a film worth your evening.
Stories travel further than speeches.
If any of this interests you — as a viewer, a collaborator or a fellow writer — write to me. I read every message.
